John Dowling

Hello everyone! 

My name is John Dowling.

My Banjo and I have been happily married for 31 years. We live in Cornwall in the UK, but we've flown across many skies and sailed on many ships together. 

We won the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award with the Black Cat Theory.

We became the first non-Americans to win the USA National Banjo Championships.

We authored The Contemporary Banjo Player published by Faber Music. 

We've taught at workshops internationally.

We married the most beautiful woman in the world and had 7 of the most beautiful kids in the world, and now we're very tired. 

But above all we've connected with countless wonderful people through the emotional power of music.
